We have a hearth within that powers and warms our Being. It is the heart of our Home within, and it requires as much feeding as a log burner. But instead of stoking it with wood, we need to stoke it with allowance because the fuel that our inner hearth requires the most is ALL of our wondrous emotions equally.
If we only fed our hearth the ‘negative’ or only fed it the ‘positive’, can you see how misaligned our Being would be? Can you imagine if we only ever offered a tree sunshine without the rain? Or if we only ever offered the rain without the shine? This is often how we stoke our hearth within. We only offer the ‘positive’ and we avoid the ‘negative’.
But our hearth, in order to flame brilliantly, allows for the all. Our hearth needs the balance; we need the opposites to bring forth our WHOLENESS. Without our sorrows, there is no joy; without our pain, there is no pleasure. When we allow our wholeness to simply flow freely within, denying our fire no fuel, then our power intensifies and stimulates the Love that we are.
Are you even aware that you are stoking a fire within? Is your log basket full of complimentary opposites, or is your log basket full of one side of the all? I’m not suggesting that we need to purposely fill our basket with negativity just to balance the light. I’m suggesting that we don’t need to avoid the dark, just to promote the light, because actually, the more that we avoid the dark, the less brightly we glow.
We are harmony within when we are equally allowing of the all.
My mind can be in denial of my hearth within, but my wholeness is not compromised because I allow that denial with compassion. I simply pop it into my hearth of Love, along with all of my Wisdom, and wait for the transformation of it all to light. And perhaps that’s a helpful analogy right there: no matter what burns within, be it a ‘beautiful’ log or an ‘ugly’ log, it all creates light in the end.
Anything that is offered Love creates light because there is no such thing as darkness when there is light. So if you are not denying, hiding, suppressing your darkness, then you are creating more light because it is powering your hearth of Love within.
You could consider the logs to be feelings. These feelings, these energies are all valuable because they are all powering our Brilliance. It is only the mind that determines one log to be more valuable or more warming or brighter than another. Love has no such differentiation between feelings. Love just values the ALL equally.
